Me Love Flying

Hi friends!

This is my layout photo #20 post at CSI for case file No. 120; how cool is that!
CSI is short for Colorful Stories Inspiration. CSI is a 5 color scheme and project recipe weekly challenge competition page, that I have been a member for over a year.

120 Color Scheme

120 Color Scheme

I known Debbi Tehrani from a previews color challenge page that I was a member of since 2010.  This week project is a 12″x 12″ layout about ME and my favorite things. This layout is going to be the opening of my first “Easy Scrap” or “project life album. It is going to be a transition for me from a full page layout to a half layout with 3 pockets 4″x 6″ to one with many fun pockets. I hope to catch up with all my trip photos that are waiting to be scraped and hope to add more fun pages to my children albums.

“ME love flying”

Blue Sky – I used it as a background.
Cloud – White is all over.
Drizzle -  Salmon pink is on my highlight contrast of my composition on most of the embellishments.
Sprinkle – Bright spring green  on the decorative brad, the washi tape, and in the crystals.
Raining Cats and Dogs – Kraft brown is on the chipboard, on the dot pattern paper  and on the enamel dots.

EVIDENCE – I CHOOSE 9 CLUES

stripes- on patter paper
textured paper- emboss tags
gesso- on the “Damask” shapes
something sheer- the washi tape
animal accents- the kangaroos on the photos
wet medium- Inka Gold over gesso
place something upside down- the “Damask” gesso shape on the lower right
raindrop shapes- I use them as an inspiration to create a “raindrops” of crystal shapes and sequence
“scribbles”- hand pen stitches on some of the white dots

TESTIMONY – CHOOSE 1 CLUE and is on the back of my tag.

I choose 1 prompt from Journal Buddies:
The one I choose is # 6 What are 4 things that no one knows about me.
1- I love to fly, I love to travel by plane even do I do not get to do it much.
2- Saturday is my favorite day of the week. Saturday is my happy day.
3- I love to be up close with animals but I do not have a pet.
4- I love stitches and crystals to embellish my work, since it bring memories of my fashion design days and my college work. Most of you do not know that I gave up my fashion design career to me a full time mother of 3 beautiful children.

LIFE
CSI Case File No. 120

I am so trill with this color scheme that I made a second attempt to solve the case. I am experimenting with a new way of scrapbooking for me “project life” or “scrap easy”. I decide to give this style a chance to scrap a lots of my traveling photos and “scrap” pieces left from others projects. I am not sure if this up to CSI but let me know what you think.

THE SCHEME – CHOOSE ALL 5 COLORS

Blue Sky – I used it as a background
Cloud – the white is all over
Drizzle – bright salmon pink is on the embellishments.
Sprinkle – bright spring green on the crystals.
Raining Cats and Dogs – kraft brown is on the leafs and on the enamel dots.

EVIDENCE – I CHOOSE 9 CLUES

stripes- on pattern paper
gesso- on the “Damask” shape
something sheer- the pocket protector
animal accents- the butterflies
wet medium- Inka Gold over gesso
raindrop shapes- I used them as an inspiration to create  “raindrops” of crystal shapes and sequence
“scribbles”- hand pen stitches on some of the white dots

TESTIMONY – CHOOSE 1 CLUE:  The journaling is on the back.

I choose #5- Write a poem that doesn’t rhyme about your  family.
The poem is on the back
My Family
————
You are the joy of my life
You are the dream of my days
You are my forever love
You are my family forever to keep
Love,
Mamá

I enjoy to hide my journaling on the back because I do not have a beautiful calligraphy and I do not like my hand writing to take away from my design. I like to keep my thoughts mostly private for family to read later. My children are young to enjoy my work at the time but am sure they will enjoy it even more later, specially my little girl that is a “free spirit” scraper.
